The Artist

Karen Binney is based in Norwich, Norfolk, creating unique wall hangings using the technique of Pique-assiette (‘broken plate’) and the traditional art of hand Applique and Embroidery. Salvaged ceramics and textiles are given a new artistic purpose, after their functional life is served. Everything you see will always be a little worn, shabby chic and definitely unique, with no one piece ever the same.
